The Callisto Protocol is one of the most highly anticipated video games in years. A terrifying, visceral sci-fi survival horror, Striking Distance Studios tasked us with stoking the imagination of the public with the horrors awaiting them on Callisto and within the bowels of Black Iron Prison.
Created and produced by DK, in collaboration with Prettybird director Vellas and Rodeo FX, the spot combines live-action and VFX to explore the layers of fear that are infused throughout the video game. Using two interconnected timelines, the spot follows Jacob, brought to life by Josh Duhamel, from the beginning of his story, with his varying emotions and physical experiences juxtaposed against the horrors he must survive and escape through his journey.
The horrors of Callisto were also brought to life in Times Square, New York and Piccadilly Circus, London. A 3D OOH experience crafted in collaboration with Rodeo FX.
