DK is a trans-media creative agency and production studio. We think and we make. We specialize in progressive storytelling for entertainment, marketing, architectural spaces, and original content. We are designers, filmmakers, writers, technologists, and conceptualists. We solve creative problems as a multi-disciplinary collective that is unique to the industry. Leveraging our roots in motion graphics, film, and content creation, we now move effortlessly between idea and execution – our creative approach grounded in truth, innovation, authenticity, and the human spirit. We very much love what we do – and thankfully so do many of the kind judges of the FWA, Cannes Lions, Shorty Awards, One Show Interactive, Webby Awards, and others.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Junior Creative position at DK is a phenomenal opportunity for a visual designer and ideator to join an integrated agency where you take projects from concept to completion. You will not be executing iterations of concepts passed down from creative directors - you will be directly engaging with the team from a project or campaign’s inception, collaborating with your peers to develop creative of the utmost integrity. As a Junior Creative, you can expect to not only contribute and hone your primary skill-set, but be challenged to grow as a designer by applying your thinking and approach to innovative, multi-platform projects.

WHO WE WANT:

An up-and-coming creative who is passionate about both blank-page ideation and hands-on form making. You will have a foundation and education in graphic design and visual communications, and others skills in interaction design (online, responsive, experiential, etc.), motion and animation, 3D, illustration, and/or film-making are a plus. You should have a strong creative POV, but have work that demonstrates your range and ability to design for a specific brand or audience.

The Junior Creative should be confident and humble - able to present and defend their creative POV, but also open to direction, feedback, and flowing within a dynamic process. You will be curious and inspired - drawing inspiration from many sources to inform your process in designing for authentic and inspiring audience/consumer engagement. And as always, we look for creatives who work hard, but bring a great attitude and contribute to developing an inspired and fun creative culture.

THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED:

-An online portfolio that shows the very best of your thinking and making
-A great imagination, the desire to break new ground, and passion for authentic engagement and storytelling
-2+ years experience in a design firm, production studio environment, or ad agency
-Software skills should include mastery of the Adobe CS and some experience in After Effects, Flash, 3DS Max, Cinema 4D, Final Cut Pro, etc. is a plus!
