True Blood

Our goal was to make something like none other on television. Avoiding direct vampire references, we sought to translate the show’s larger thematic struggles into seemingly found imagery from the real world.

The result is a truly hand-made sequence containing over 65 shots comprised of original documentary, studio, tabletop photography and found footage. Six separate shoots took place in Louisiana, Seattle, and Chicago on seven different still, film, and video formats. We also developed a hand-cut typeface now used on all True Blood collateral.
